Do I need a backend or server of my own?

No. Formiary is your backend for forms — submissions POST directly to your unique Formiary endpoint as `multipart/form-data`, the same way a browser submits a plain HTML form. No server code, no iframe, no JavaScript SDK required.

Can I use Formiary with any framework or plain HTML?

Yes. Since it's just an HTTP endpoint that accepts standard form submissions, it works with plain HTML forms, `fetch`, or any frontend framework — React, Vue, Svelte, or anything else.

How does spam protection work?

Every form gets honeypot fields, link detection, and rate limiting out of the box. These are transparent rules you can see and tune per form, not an opaque score — you decide whether flagged submissions are rejected outright or held for review.

What happens to my data?

Submissions are validated against the fields and rules you define, then stored and made available in your dashboard with analytics. Every plan, including Free, includes unlimited data retention — your history is never cut off after 30 or 90 days.

Can I get notified or send auto-responses?

Yes. You can email your team on every submission, and on paid plans send a branded auto-response to the person who submitted — from your own verified domain instead of a generic address.

Is there a free plan?

What if I go over my submission limit?

We never drop a submission. On paid plans, extra submissions are billed automatically at tiered per-1,000 rates. On the Free plan, submissions over the limit are still received, but extras like notifications and integrations may not trigger — upgrade to keep everything running.
